A model car travelling 4m/s east veers around a rock and 4s later is moving at 6m/s at 50˚ east of north. What was the model car's acceleration?

Without knowing where the problem is all I can do is give some general advice.

You know that the initial velocity is \(\displaystyle \vec{v_0}\) = 4 m/s East and the final velocity is \(\displaystyle \vec{v}\) = 6 m/s at 50 degrees East of North. You know it took 4 s to do this. So
\(\displaystyle \vec{a} = \dfrac{\vec{v} - \vec{ v_0 }}{t}\).

How do you find \(\displaystyle \vec{v} - \vec{v_0}\)?
