Hi physics wizards! Please help me with my homework (Smile)

FIND THE TENSION ON THE CABLE AND THE MAGNITUDE AND DIRECTION OF THE FORCE ON THE STRUT. NEGLECT THE WEIGHT OF THE STRUT. IF THE WEIGHT OF THE SUSPENDED OBJECT IS 100lbs.

You have a force being applied via the 100lb weight,
But you have no movement (in particular no acceleration)
so the overall (combined) forces in the system must be zero.

Thus the forces from the tension in the cable and the force of the strut
must exactly balance the force from the weight.
