A 1.30 x 10^3 kg car is constructed on a plane supported by 4 springs, each spring has a spring constant of 2.00x10^4 N/M. if two people riding in the car have a combine mass of 1.60x10^2kg. find the frequency of vibration of the car when it is driven over a porthole on the road.

I'm sure in your text book they explain that the angular frequency of vibration of a spring-mass system is w=sqrt(k/m) radians/second, and its frequency is w/(2 pi) vibrations/second. All you need do is calculate the mass supported by the springs and the equivalent spring constant, given four springs acting in parallel. Post back with your answer and we'll check it for you.
