Is the speed of light constant even in observed vs unobserved settings?

Does an observed photon hit the last panel quicker in the Double Slit experiment than one without a detector?

How could one possibly know if it is "unobserved"?

I would hope we could, at least, get an average time of the unobserved particles leaving the gun and landing on the final panel.

Whatever experiments have been tried, the speed of light has held up as being the cosmic speed limit.
People have done all sorts of experiments to try and break this limit, and it never happens.
There has been some fringe speculation that the "hidden" variables, if they exist, may travel at super-luminal speeds,
but this is generally considered very much borderline bunkum physics, with far too much imaginative fantasy and far too little evidence.
