Okay so I have a question to do and i have been searching through the internet and textbooks but yet to have any luck...

Ions and free electrons act like condensation centers: water drops form around them when they are airborne. Explain why?

I know im not supposed to just ask for the answer but if you could give it to me and explain it thatwould be great or at least tell me where to look?

Thanks

You may serach for Cloud Chamber in wikipedia. It is a radioation detector.

The reason may be that water is polar so that when ions are present, there should be electrostatic attraction between the ions and water molecules.
