Two people started the same place and walk around a circular lake in opposite directions. One has an angular speed of 0.0017 rad/s , while the other has an angular speed of 0.0014 rad/s. how long will it be before they meet ?

We know that a circle's circumference covers 2\(\displaystyle \pi\) radians.

The two walkers will meet exactly when they cover 2\(\displaystyle \pi\) radians.

So, \(\displaystyle 0.0017x+ 0.0014x = 2\pi\)

\(\displaystyle 0.0031x = 2\pi\)

\(\displaystyle \boxed { x= 2026 \mbox { seconds}} \)
