Interaction between oblik shock wave and expansion wave

In a monodimensional supersonic flow in canal with an angle of inclinason theta, we have an oblick shock wave up and expansion wave down, but do we have interaction between oblick shock and wave of expansion ?

Mono dimensional implies only one dimension, although these models might seem very restrictive they are quite good at modelling actual shockwave processes that occur in many circumstance.

As you correctly state, the two waves move away in opposite directions, but I dont think it is possible to have an oblique wave in a one dimensional problem. That would normally be caused by an object or flow travelling in two or three dimensions.
