By my reckoning the MM experiment should have found Vu, I cant figure out why it didnt.

Note Vu is not dependent on an ether

The fact that MM didnt find Vu maybe there is something new there

If you look at the history of the MM experiment, you'll find that everyone expected there to be an aether (and hence some special rest frame velocity). The fact that it didn't surprised everybody at the time; it was something new.
