Thank you so much in agreeing that Roemer's measurement may be incorrect?

Could you please elaborate regarding the evidence that is used to justify the ostensible velocity of light?

When you use Skype the delay is caused by the translation of the signal to the image not the velocity of light. The velocity of light could have a magnitude of 59 and Skype would still work and produce the same time delay. Also, a light bulb produces light that is used for reading books yet the velocity of light does not affect rather light produces an intensity if the velocity of light's magnitude was 8, 23 or 59 even 1,000.

This is ridiculous. lovebunny you have now had two people say that the speed of light has been measured accurately. As benet13 has said, even if Roemer did muff the job we have plenty of other clear experimental evidence of the number representing c and the fact that the speed of light is the same in any so called inertial reference frame.

Addendum: Let's just make this a blanket statement, shall we? Try to learn what you are talking about before you talk about it.
