Over the past few decades, a single explanatory framework called "string theory", has emerged that may turn out to be the ultimate theory of the universe. That's it for now, rest is the area of research.
If you properly assess the equation I have provided, that is the pivotal equation required to unify GR and quantum. If you are genuinely interested I am happy to engage a discussion with you. Others I have approached to open a discussion have had no interest in examining the equation and have wasted my time with arguing language related semantics.
