The Seven Aether Theories

Hello everyone. This is a question for those aware of old theories centered on the mythological element called Aether. I read somewhere that Aether was used to explain seven types of natural phenomenon back then.

I know two of them were light and gravity, but I need to know the other five. Can anyone tell?

I would guess that prior to the formulation of Maxwell's equations people didn't realize that electricity, magnetism, and light are essentially all manifestations of one phenomenon, so you can add electricity and magnetism to the list of things that people may have felt were propagated by the aether. Not sure what the other three might have been (this is before notions of the strong and weak atomic forces had been conceived).

How "natural" do your examples need to be?
Several "supernatural" phenomena (telepathy, telekinesis, spirit apparitions, etc...) where linked to the Aether.

The attribution of seven also suggests mystical connections,
since seven is reckoned to be a mystically significant number...

Aether doesnt exist .It was experimentally proven as incorrect. What I think is the closest to your "aethers" it is the three fundamental interactions.Strong interaction, weak interaction, electromagnetism.

Please read the OP. It is talking about "old theories," by which I take to mean anything pre-Michelson-Morley. (Some of which could potentially Greek or older, even.)
