Talking Theory/philosophy of behaviour

1. Something not exactly the topic of this thread but relevant.
I appreciate Woody's "existence - interaction principle" very much. It help me understand cosmos better. I regard it as a great achievement in PHF and the glory of PHF. The local dark force (江门地方黑恶势力钟永康集团/九一四牛顿定律) always entangle me just as ghost and must confine me as a half self-payment watchman in their small business. You might live in your way, me might live in my way, why must entangle together? How to explain their abnormal behavior? I can only resort to Woody's "existence-interaction principle" cosmoswide.
2. Something is the topic of this thread.
I heard Woody said in another thread that "If you want to be pedantic (which perhaps we should be)
Quarks are theoretical entities, that we cannot observe.
However they allow a mathematically consistent picture to be defined that properly models the peculiarities of the particles we can observe.

The success of this model (in matching the observed behaviours) has lead physicists to accept that it is (probably) correct."
I always thinking that if trueth could be found out exactly from only observed behaviour?

Talking Theory/philosophy of behaviour

The local dark force (江门地方黑恶势力集团/九一四牛顿定律)try every means to cut off all living road of this semi-tramp and confine him as a self half payment watchman in their small business.They are smart and do that obscurely and obscenely. People can't see the dark side.
The common local guys observe the appearance in the visible side and make a conclusion: The semi-tramp is useless in society and became shabby. It's the rich businessman care him and doing charity to him.
I always thinking if trueth could be found out exactly from only observed behaviour?

Talking

When you move out, you will see a beautiful lady appears in front of you. You do not, she does not.
A. She trys to attract your attention and wants to make friends with you.
B. She purposely disturb you and trys to render you in bad mood.
Could her true motive be found out from only observed behaviour?

You build a model of the interactions and see how well it fits observations.

The problem is that the model will (inevitably) be based on your own expectations, hopes, fears, previous experiences, biases, etc...

This applies to both Physics and to the beautiful lady...

@Woody:
Can you build a model based on my expectation?

Model Behaviour

Different People will have different models.
Open minded individuals will realize this and will try to recognise how their personal models differ from other individuals models.
Also (of course) direct (experimental) evidence can indicate when a modification of a model is required.

Ideally an "average" or "consensus" model could be developed based on these different models.
In the history of physics you can see this happening as new models are proposed, initially resisted, then (eventually) either accepted or rejected.

In society it is more complicated, we will tend to surround ourselves by people who have similar world models,
and separate ourselves from people with differing world models.
Defining a consensus model is probably impossible.
Experimental evidence is also harder to obtain, largely because it is difficult to define a controlled situation within which only the parameter of interest is varied.

Talking 废话连篇

@Woody:
你说一大堆屁话有什么用?
Ask a bunch of rabbits such as Dandan, Woody, bunny, htam9876, Oz, etc, to jump forwads and backwards from a charged ball and test if radiation happens.

Talking 废话连篇2

@Woody:
Can you see the ears and butt of that rabbit Dandan everywhere in the 3D xyz space just as blasted by A-bomb when he is moving? I don't think so.

你醉酒的贡献没有启发

@ Neila
It is often difficult to follow the thread of your posts,
They seem to bounce from thought to thought with little coherence.

I am happy to try to answer questions,
and I have enjoyed some of our on-going discussions.
But rather too often your contributions just seem to be totally random.
