2 questions

Hi,
First, Is there a Nobel prize for editorial advances in Physics? I ask because I propose the following innovation. Since Einstein it has been necessary to talk and write about The conflation of space and time as space-time. How much paper and time would be saved at physics conferences if the word "spIme" were used instead? Not much initially s few seconds and a few square mm of paper at most, but when you think on the scale of say the foundation trilogy we;re looking at whole lifetimes cumulatively and whole forests of paper by changing every reference to space-time to "spIme". The Nobel committees tend to be biased against those of us without any formal training in physics so I'm not holding my breath but just thought I'd ask.

My second question is a little more complicated. Basically can I trust the people at cern? The reason I ask is that I am thinking of starting my own product line selling tin cans of lightly curved space-time under the trade name "spIme". If successful I plan on hiring recent PHDs to develop other "flavors" like flat "spIme" reverse curved "spIme" and even extra curved "spIme" . Being responsible I began to wonder how one could clean up something like a forklift accident where a pallet of reverse curved "spIme" spilled onto a case of lightly curved stuff. I came up with a brilliant solution. Infuse paper towels with miniature black holes! Like a fool I wrote to the people of Cern to inquire as to the disposition of the mini black holes that they create every day. I figured they probably have loads of them and I could pick them up cheap. Inexplicably I havent heard back from them and my big fear is that I'll wake up one morning to see an ad for Cern paper towels infused with mini black holes. So thats why I am asking whether the folks at Cern can be trusted. Many thanks for your time and consideration and if any of you has pull with the Nobel committee that cash prize can buy a lot of lab equipment and we can work something out if you know what I mean.

Let's see if I understand you correctly. You want to build models of space-time from recycled tin cans?

Are you serious? No. Of course not. Why would anybody do that? The term spacetime is far superior since its much clearer about what it means.

Not enough to be noticeable. Nobody cares about things which are mere wordplay. Besides, it has nothing to do with the purpose of the Nobel Prize which, as stated by Arthur Nobel in his third will, is for those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit to mankind. Writing spacetime as spime is hardly the greatest benefit for man kind.

In order to find a new term fwavicle was coined by Arthur Eddington for entities having characteristic properties of both waves and particles. Nobody ever won even an honorable mention anywhere for such ideas since its unrelated to the purpose of it.

There's no bias. There simply has never been a layman who conferred the greatest benefit of mankind at any time in since the prize has been established. The reason being that it takes a great deal of understanding of physics to be able to make improvements on it. You cannot make an improvement on something with the knowledge of a layman.

That'd be impossible since a tin can cannot be curved spacetime. You can count on the folks at CERN to ignore such ideas.

If a black hole was created at CERN it would evaporate in around 10^(-27)seconds.They would decay into Standard Model or supersymmetric particles.

And why would you figure that?

I'm sorry if it wasnt clear but the whole thing was just satire. None of it makes any sense at all which to me seems obvious but perhaps only from my own perspective as the author. The bright spot is judging by the reactions I got I might have a future developing new conspiracies for the web. Again my apologies.

No worries. I suspected that might be the case. That's why I asked Are you serious?
