 Dec 1st 2016, 02:04 PM #1 Junior Member   Join Date: Dec 2016 Posts: 2 Circuit help? Hello I need help with a circuit problem. If a 9v battery was connected to 4 1.1 ohm resistors in series, what would be the current through each bulb?
 Dec 1st 2016, 02:11 PM #2 Physics Team     Join Date: Jun 2010 Location: Morristown, NJ USA Posts: 2,324 Putting four 1.1 ohm resisters in series creates a total resistance of 4 x 1.1 = 4.4 ohms. If these are the only elements in the circuit then current flow = V/R = 9v/4.4 ohms. But you mentioned bulbs - what bulbs? Do you mean that the 1.1 ohm resistors are actually bulbs?

Does the circuit consist of 4 resistors and 3 bulbs all in series with the battery? If so, do you know anything about the resistance of each bulb? topsquark likes this.
