How to filter out blue light?

How to filter out blue light?

For some experiments I need to be able to filter out blue light with either special light bulbs or a screen around the bulbs. It seems an orange coating on the bulb or an orange screen around the bulbs will do the trick, but I need to filter out as much blue light as possible. I would like to reduce blue light in a small room in my home by 99% or more.

Will an orange light bulb do the trick, to filter out blue light produced by the burning filament? How can I tell, any specifications to look for when it comes to orange light bulbs, or any inexpensive way to test the wave lengths of the light going through the orange filter or coating? Best place to get orange bulbs or screens? Thanks.

White light bulb with good yellow filter will block blue to great extent.

Light can't block out other light, no matter the color. You can only do this with a filter, colored glass or plastic.

Is there a way to create both red and blue lights (at different times) using only one LED? Is this possible? And how would you do it? Would you use a magenta cover over it then do something to make it filter out one of the colours?
