Telescope

Is it possible to make a telescope with lenses only? Without using parabolic mirror

I'm having a hard time finding a decent site (one with a good diagram.) Galileo's telescopes were made from lenses only. It was Newton who introduced the parabolic mirror to the telescope. Actually, if you think about it, a microscope is similar in principle to a telescope and it only uses lenses.

Try a search for Galileo and telescopes. Yahoo gave me a bit of historical information, so you might try to google it for something more technical.
