refraction at spherical surface

in the photo, i dont understand part b , why the u(object distance) form the refracting surface is 14 cm . can someone help me with this?

u in this case is from the fish to the mirror
fish is 18cm from front of bowl
bowl is 32cm diameter
mirror is at the back of the bowl
32-18=14
