Basic motion question

I have no idea where to start with this very simple question. but the answer is 613 metres.

A speeding motorbike travels past a stationary police car at a speed of 35m/s. The police car starts accelerating imediantly at 4m/s/s, and keeps accelerating until it has passed the bike.
How far does the police travel before it overtakes the motorbike?

take the distant the both vehicles went as S, time spent t

apply S=ut for the motorbike

apply S=ut +(1/2)at^2 for the car

now you have two unknowns and two equations
