 Sep 15th 2008, 02:36 PM #1 Junior Member   Join Date: Sep 2008 Posts: 26 Projectile Question My attempt: t=5m/(5m/s)=1s using that, calculate how far the block falls in 1s x=.5at2+Vt =.5(-9.8)(1)(1)+0(1) =-4.9m thus, the block falls 4.9m but I still something is not right...........any help

You are right in your attempt, $\displaystyle h=4.9m$.
