Projectile Question

My attempt:
t=5m/(5m/s)=1s
using that, calculate how far the block falls in 1s
x=.5at2+Vt
=.5(-9.8)(1)(1)+0(1)
=-4.9m
thus, the block falls 4.9m

but I still something is not right...........any help

You are right in your attempt, $\displaystyle h=4.9m$.
