Let's not forget why this forum is in existence ...mainly for the benefit of those supplying the answers , who enjoy the challenge ....

Still , I will respect forum rules , and only give a clue to the first question ....

the ball traveling in a curved path will experience a centrifugal force pushing it sideways m(omega squared r) , and a gravitational force downward mg .

When the product ot these two is at an angle which overshoots the grove the ball will tip over .

the path is parabolic , not circular which is an added complication .

First off I'll say this - Very cool question. My compliments to the author of the text! Please tell me the authors name and the text name including the ISBN numbers

I'm going to give a guide which is in the form of questions. It's intended to me a hint. Ask yourself these questions:
1) Does the kinetic energy remain constant. If so then what does that tell you of the speed?
2) If you know the speed can you use that to determine the position as a function of time?
3) Do you know the position of the particle as a function of time?
4) What is the definition of acceleration?
6) What is the definition of force?
