 Jan 5th 2009, 03:58 AM #1 Junior Member   Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 1 heellpp i cant figure out the math of a rollar coaster i cant figure out speed accelleration velocity any of that stuff i have the tallest point-171m radius of loop-40m 360 degree turn-75.4m weight of each car-400 kg i need help with this stuff fast please

you should tell what thing you would like to find at which point of roller coaster.
Suppose you have the lowest point of track on the ground and you would like to find the speed at the lowest point of track.
Applying conservation of energy

$\displaystyle mv^2/2=mgh$
$\displaystyle v=\sqrt{(2)(10)(171)}$
