How to make a career?

I must rush to be a coconut seller on the beach before this career is saturated. Plus I will get to see hot babes on the beach. Chilled job i wonder why people dont go for it. I think being a coconut seller requires more creativity than a phd. You need to also have the temperament.

Tell me the physics needed to help me sell more coconuts.

That's economics, not physics. Physics doesn't concern this subject.

I know this isn't a serious subject. I thought I'd be precise anyway.

In Myrtle Beach SC they have a law that no one can wear a g-string bikini. So technically the bikini bottom has to have a spread of and inch or two in the back. My Dad wants to be the guy that checks that out. (He's blind so he has to do touchy-feely about it.) Maybe you can get in on this one instead of the coconuts.

Whoever made that law ought to be drawn and quartered then burned at the stake and their ashes spat on!

Well, there is an upside: It "covers" (ha ha) men wearing g-strings, too.

Not sure what this thread is about ...it seems the author is seeking career advice , should he strive for a phd in physics , or become a coconut seller ???

Strangely , now , I find myself in Thailand , and part of my income comes from growing and selling coconuts , so I'll briefly tell my story ....

Age 20 I find myself in a london university , pursuing a course in nuclear engineering ... Not a happy bunny ... As I told my tutor , I was more happy in the summer vacations working on a building site ... I could see where my academic path was leading , if lucky, a career designing or working with nuclear reactors ... a wage slave , waking up each morning when the alarm clock rang , no freedom, but a secure fairly well paid job .

Luckily I had the courage to drop out , turned my back on all that , went travelling , immersed myself in yoga , mysticism magick and the occult ... Through this I discovered that we create our own reality , by our thought , beliefs and expectations . So I decided to create a life for myself of abundance , freedom and creativity ...

And it all worked out very well ...

Which ever way you look at it , an academic physics career is not a good idea ... the job market is saturated with highly qualified people , chances are you'll end up flipping hamburgers...

Much better start your own business , or do something you like. If you are smarter than the average guy , you will succeed and have a freer more affluent life .

I doubt it was meant to be a very serious thread.

In my case my career hit a dead end when I was hit with leukemia which was followed by chronic pain. I can never work again. Yet even though this is not from anything I did wrong I feel guilty for not working. It's even quite dangerous for me to work. That requires being much more physically active which can trigger pain so intense that I can't even stand up.

We make plans while fate laughs at us. Big sigh here.

More Analysis.

I have observed that when we dont get something we desire then there comes another opportunity. In scientific terms this could be called chance. But by analysing the pattern like we do in technical analysis. It seems to be some sort of a plan of the almighty so here philosophy is used when we stop at the point using science. That is why i said fields are related socrates and plato used both philosophy and science. Were they idiots?

Of course not. And nobody is suggesting otherwise. By the way. When you brought up the almighty you were referring to theology, not philosophy. What we're saying is that, effectively, one shouldn't try to teach automechanics in the same class or text as cooking even when the student has serious plans on driving and preparing meals.
