Electric fields
Hi.
So we've just started doing electric fields and forces and such in class. We've been doing problems where the particles are in lines, and we have to calculate the the net force on the other particle. With only two particles, I can do. However, when it reaches 3, I honestly can say I have no idea what to do. I feel like I'm doing it right, but then I don't get the right answer.
A point charge q1 = 3.00 µC is situated at the origin. Another point charge q2 = 5.00 µC is located at the location x = 1.00 m. If another charge Q1 = 10.0 µC is placed at x = 0.100 m, what is the magnitude of the force on it?
An explanation would be very helpful. Thank you!!
