[ASK] Voltage and Current

An AC current has 100 V voltage. An electric iron with 20 Ω resistance is connected to the current source. Determine effective value, maximum value, and average value of:
a. the voltage
b. electric current

How do I do this without knowing the value of sinωt? At least please help me to find the maximum values, and the rest I can do.

I assume the question means the supply is 100V RMS

To find max voltage , multiply by the square root of 2

What is that RMS?

Root Mean Squared
Take the square of the voltage
Average the result over a full cycle
Take the square root of that average.

Because the AC voltage is a sinusoid this works out as the maximum divided by the square root of 2.

However, note that OZ made an assumption about the RMS,
without some of the context of the question, it is difficult to be sure what precisely the question is asking.
