Conductance broadening of Single quantum dots

Hey

Im reading and article, where the electron temperature is determined from the width of the single quantum dot conductance broadening. But im wondering, shouldŽnt it also be broadened by the coupling? And can you just assume that this broadening is neglible. I mean, what is the energy scale of this broadening compared to 3.5 k_b T?
