Creating a laser light sheet

I am attempting to create a laser sheet that I can project through my transparent apparatus so that I can image the illuminated plane. I have been looking into several different ways to get a laser sheet but I'm not super confident with what I have come up with. I've attached an image that explains what I believe should work. Any input, even verification, would be much appreciated. Has anyone else made a laser sheet? Any tips?

Thank you

Never herd of this before .... A laser sheet is what it says , the light from a laser is made to spread into triangular shaped sheet (by an oscillating mirror I guess) .... into the air stream is put a mist of water containing florescent dye.
