Paper topic

I am writing a physics paper and I'm having trouble getting started. Obviously I'm not looking for ALL of the answers here but some general bullet points to get me going would be greatly appreciated. Here is the topic.

Discuss some of the precursor events or ideas that lead to the formulation of the mechanical philosophy by Decartes. And address the following parts:

A) What is the role of nature in mechanical philosophy?

B) How is mechanical philosophy positively reinforced by the precision of newtons laws?

C) Describe how a and b serve to usher in the "age of reason" and foster the cultural notion that science is "perfect".

Thanks for any help!
