**Semi-Conductors**
I have a problem which goes thus:
Question: **Prooof that the semi conductor diode characteristics can be reperesented by the equation I=Is exp[(ev/KT-1)]**
I know that
Is= reverse saturation current,
I= any value of current
e=electronic charge,
v=applied voltage,
K= Boltsman's contant and
T= absolved temperature
I know the above equation can be rewitten as
Is=Aexp[-Eg/2KT], where A is a constant( conductivity of charge carriers), an Eg is energy band between the conduction and valence band. I need help from here to proof the above statement
